Arkansas Community Foundation of Greene County

Arkansas Community Foundation of Greene County is proud to engage our residents and provide tools to help them make an impact where we live. An annual Giving Tree Grant cycle is held in late summer/fall where local non-profit organizations, schools and government organizations can apply for grants.

We are well known for administering scholarships in the spring to deserving high school graduates. The Foundation awards well over $100,000 annually in scholarships ranging from $1000-$10,000. None of this would be possible without the hard work and generosity of our founding affiliate members like the late Evangeline Cothern, who worked tirelessly encouraging families and business to establish scholarship endowments so our high school seniors could advance in their education with help from our community.

The Foundation has tools to assist businesses and families in smart philanthropic giving through endowments. Our Youth Advisory Council teaches students the value of philanthropy, grant making and volunteer service in our community. We are truly blessed in Greene County to have this gem of an organization available to our citizens, overseen by a volunteer board of directors and administered by a local Executive Director.
