Hot Springs Village Community Foundation

Hot Springs Village Community Foundation, started in 1983 to help meet the needs in Hot Springs Village, has been instrumental in promoting the arts in Hot Springs Village, outfitting the community library and granting scholarships to area youth. Small, immediate grants were given in the early years. The first endowment was established in the late 1990s. In 2005, the Foundation became associated with the Hot Springs Area affiliate of the Arkansas Community Foundation for the professional management of endowment funds. By 2017, we had over $1 million in endowments and became the 28th affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation.

Our local foundation now has endowments that help area children and education, animal welfare, the arts, veterans and emergency medical services.  We have a growing Giving Tree endowment and other unrestricted endowments that allow us to grant nearly $30,000 each year to organizations that improve our community.

We started the Hot Springs Village Arts Council to improve communications and scheduling between all local arts organizations. The Arts Council has received grants from the Community Foundation for equipment that benefits many of the different performing arts groups. Through such efforts, the local Community Foundation is becoming a leader in the community to improve our quality of life and promote “Smart Giving to Improve our Community.”
